Individually and together, our advisory board and partners have achieved numerous successes in the business world.
As a testimony to this, we took on a project that required a turn-around and restructuring of a small visual effects company on the brink of bankruptcy located on the East Coast.
Renamed under the Manex moniker, we engineered a relocation of the entire company across the country to the decommissioned Naval Air Station in Alameda, California. Financing was secured, personnel changes made, policies and procedures established, and business development put in action.
During the next several years, we secured a number of major visual effects projects within the motion picture industry. We also formed several new divisions: Manex Studios through which we transformed vacant hangers into film studios, and: Manex Interactive, an innovative web design firm in the forefront of the then infant internet industry. These expansions, along with several acquisitions, grew our staff to over 300.
During this time, Manex Visual Effects completed work on over 20 feature films and high-end commercials, including back-to-back Oscar winners What Dreams May Come starring Robin Williams and The Matrix starring Keanu Reeves. Other notable works include Mission Impossible II, Crouching Tiger, Hidden Dragon, American Beauty, and Michael Jordan to the Max.
In just a few short years after the company was facing certain bankruptcy, we were able to transform it into a multi-faceted entertainment company consisting of an award-winning feature film visual effects company, a TV commercial visual effects boutique, a film studio, and state-of-the-art web design firm.
